On the eastern edges of the Pellini plain, at the foothills of Vesisza and across from the village of Kaisari, lies the Holy Monastery of the Dormition of the Theotokos, commonly known as Panagia Kaisariotissa. According to historical accounts, it was built in 1800 and restored in 1815 by the solitary monk Anthimos, who lived under its roof. In 1920, the skilled craftsman Ioannis Vasileiou from Ioannina crafted the iconostasis of the main church, while in 1952, the Monastery was repaired and expanded through private donations.
Today, the Monastery stands as an oasis in the Kaisari plain, offering visitors the chance to experience the tranquility of nature and the boundless beauty that divine providence and the diligent work of the resident nuns continue to maintain.
