In Souli, one of the most historic villages in the municipality of Sikyona, visitors can explore an equally historic church, the Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos, the patron saint of the village. Built entirely from stone in a cross-in-square basilica style, the church was constructed gradually between 1858 and 1900. Its design is an exact replica of the Church of Saint George of the Great Church of Christ (Ecumenical Patriarchate) in Constantinople.

According to local history, under the shade of the ancient oak tree in the church courtyard, renowned Greek freedom fighters like Kolokotronis, Petimezas, and Zaimis once rested and shared a meal after the destruction of Dramali and their return to the Souli camp.
